Azzerdeen Wates
Clinical Director | Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner
My journey into Chinese Medicine began with a fascination for how the body heals and adapts. Over the past decade, that curiosity has grown into a career focused on helping people understand their health, restore balance, and build long-term resilience.
Since graduating in 2012, I have worked across rural, remote and metropolitan healthcare settings, including private practice, community health, crisis accommodation, rehabilitation and detox services, and women's shelters. These experiences have reinforced my belief that healthcare should be individualised, collaborative, and centred around the person rather than simply the condition.
Today, I combine acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Auricular Medicine to create personalised treatments that evolve as your health changes. Whether you're seeking support for stress, digestive health, healthy ageing, hormonal changes, or simply wanting to feel your best, my aim is to help you move beyond symptom management and towards sustainable wellbeing.

My Approach
I believe the body is remarkably adaptable when it's given the right support.
Chinese Medicine encourages us to look beyond a single symptom and consider how sleep, digestion, stress, movement, hormones and lifestyle all interact. My role is to identify those connections, explain them in a way that makes sense, and develop a treatment plan that feels achievable within your everyday life.
I enjoy working collaboratively with my patients, helping them better understand their health while building practical strategies that continue supporting them long after they leave the clinic.
When Working With Me...
You'll probably notice that I ask a lot of questions...
That's because I believe understanding the whole picture often provides the biggest clues. Every consultation is an opportunity to better understand how your body functions, what may be contributing to your symptoms, and how we can support meaningful change together.
I aim to create a calm, welcoming environment where patients feel heard, understood, and confident in their care. Treatment is always tailored to the individual and adjusted as your health evolves.
My goal is to help you better understand your health while supporting lasting, meaningful change.
