Azzerdeen Wates
Founder & Clinical Director
Registered Acupuncturist
Azzerdeen first discovered the power of Chinese medicine as a teenager, watching how it supported her mum through a chronic metabolic condition. That early experience sparked a lasting curiosity and a deep belief in the body’s ability to heal with the right support.
She completed her undergraduate degree Health Science (majoring in acupuncture) in Melbourne, followed by a Master of Public Health in Brisbane.
Over the past decade, Azzerdeen has worked across diverse settings, including remote community clinics, crisis accommodation centres, and in private practices. This broad clinical experience continues to shape the way she works, which is practical, grounded, and person-focused.

Good health is about feeling at home in your body, listening to what it’s telling you, and making space for change. All of this with clarity, intention, and care.
In the treatment room, Azzerdeen combines classical Chinese Medicine with modern approaches like dry needling, motor point therapy, and trigger point release. Her treatments are designed to ease pain, support nervous system regulation, and help people reconnect with their bodies in a meaningful way.
Azzerdeen has trained with respected mentors locally and internationally. She’s passionate about making Chinese Medicine feel accessible, clear, and deeply supportive whilst still retaining the richness of the practice.
Her work is especially focused on helping people manage persistent pain, improve digestion, calm their nervous system, and feel more at ease in their body as they move through different stages of life.
